Matthew T. Stanger

Matthew brings to Blue Sky Power both his engineering experience in serving the water and wastewater and chemical industries, as well as his legal expertise in representing developers and industry organizations in navigating governmental approvals and steering state and local regulations.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioresource Engineering from Rutgers University, Stanger began his professional career in the water and wastewater industry as a design engineer for a turnkey wastewater engineering firm primarily engaged in the design-build-operate phases of wastewater treatment facilities. Later, Matthew held a position for a global chemical manufacturer, Nalco/Exxon Energy Chemicals, L.P., providing consulting services for major oil refining companies and working with process engineers and operations staff in troubleshooting refinery process applications.

Matthew went on to receive his Law Degree from Rutgers School of Law in Camden, New Jersey, and began work for a law firm in the New York metropolitan region as a land use attorney, assisting clients obtain state, county and local approvals for various commercial, residential and industrial developments. Prior to co-founding Blue Sky Power, Matthew was associated with a Philadelphia-area law firm, continuing to represent developers in obtaining land use and zoning approvals from government entities, and representing developer clients and trade organizations in litigation related to development and state and local development regulation. Matthew is a member of the New Jersey and Camden County Bar Associations, as well as the Philadelphia Regional Chapter of the Urban Land Institute.
